My First Three Weeks at Covenant University: A New Beginning
I can't believe it's already been three weeks since I started my journey at CU's beautiful campus. Being a fresher here has been such an exciting experience for me. I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself and what I've encountered so far.
My name is Obodoeke Oluebube Sandra. I'm 17 years old and a first-year Business Administration student at CU.
The campus at CU is vast and absolutely stunning, with top-notch facilities and a lively student community. Starting university straight out of secondary school can be tough, but the welcoming atmosphere here has made it a much smoother transition for me.
As a fresher, I've been through orientation sessions, met new friends, and delved into the vibrant culture of this institution. The professors and staff have been incredibly supportive, making sure we feel comfortable and ready for our academic journey.
I've found several things I love about CU:
- The spiritual aspect: Regular chapel services, prayer meetings, and bible studies have been a great support for my spiritual growth.
- Academic excellence: CU encourages research, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students.
- Social life: There are diverse activities catering to different interests. I've met incredible people from various backgrounds, and I've already made friends who feel like they'll be a part of my life for a long time.
Despite the fantastic experiences, I've also faced challenges:
- Adjusting to the new environment: CU has different rules, such as dress codes and curfews, which have been an adjustment. Learning to use the e-learning platform and navigating through course registration and clubs has also been a learning curve.
- Coping with the workload: The courses are demanding, requiring dedicated study time to keep up with lectures, assignments, tests, and projects.
- Making friends and socializing: Being new, it's been a bit daunting to approach and connect with others. There's the pressure of fitting in and finding my place in the community.
However, despite these challenges, I'm determined to overcome them and make the most of my time here. CU has welcomed me with open arms, and I'm eager to embrace every opportunity.
I hope you enjoy hearing about my experiences!
